General Event Information

Where is Sharpeners Jam located?
Sharpeners Jam takes place in Loganville, Georgia (east of Atlanta) at the Anna Holbrook Building. It is easy to find this with GPS. 

How many people can attend in person?
Seating is limited to 35 in-person attendees. Once registration reaches capacity, the event will close.

Registration & Policies

Is Sunday really free?
Yes. Sunday is free to attend, but RSVP is required and counts toward the 35-seat limit.

What is the cancellation policy?
Full refund is available through June 1. After June 1, registrations are transferable but non-refundable.

Are spouses allowed?
Spouses are welcome at no charge. Seating priority is given to registered sharpeners. Depending on space, spouses may need to sit toward the back.

Are children allowed?
Children are welcome with supervision. Parents are responsible for ensuring children do not disrupt instruction or demonstrations.

Convex Shear Lab

What is the Convex Lab?
A small-group, hands-on convex shear sharpening session held at the Bonika Shears office.

• Limited to 7 participants
• Available only to 3-Day Pass attendees
• First come, first served

3-Day Pass attendees who wish to reserve a spot should email after completing registration.

Sunday Idea Contest

How does the Idea Contest work?
Sharpeners present their best idea, invention, tool improvement, or technique. Attendees vote, and winners are announced live.

Can online participants enter?
Yes. Online participants must submit their video by June 1 to be included in voting.

Online Access

What does Online Access include?
• Livestream access (best effort)
• Sunday Idea Exchange
• Monday Shear Training
• 30-day replay access after the event

Livestream quality depends on venue WiFi. Edited replay will be provided.

Replay access is available for 30 days. Continued access may be available through Patreon membership.

Saturday Night Social

What is included in the Saturday Night Social?
• Axe throwing
• Arcade access
• Pizza and wings
• Unlimited soft drinks

A full bar is available on location (purchases separate).

Is there an age requirement?
Yes. Axe throwing participants must be age 12 or older.

Travel Information

What airport should I use?
Fly into Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).

Approximate Driving Distances (from Bonika Shears office in Loganville):

• ATL Airport to Loganville – approximately 40–43 miles (about 1 hour, depending on traffic)
• Bonika Shears to Hampton Inn & Suites Snellville – approximately 8 miles (15–20 minutes)
• Bonika Shears to Stars & Strikes (Axe Throwing, Loganville) – short local drive

Traffic in Atlanta can vary significantly depending on time of day.

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) from ATL Airport to Loganville or Snellville typically ranges from $50–$100 depending on vehicle type and time of day.
