Latoya Brown has been a Natural Hair Care Specialist in the metro Atlanta area for over 18 years. Latoya graduated from SamVerly's Barber Styling college in 1995 with a full scholarships, first place in student barber /styling competition and honors. Latoya has mastered the art of transitioning Clients from chemically treated and damaged hair, to strong healthy natural hair. As a pioneer of Natural hair care, Latoya has maintained a steady clientele that ranges from all ages, and is always on the cutting edge of new hair care trends and products that are moving in the natural hair care market.

Latoya has worked for some of the top salons in Atlanta, Spa Daweeds, Tom Harris Designers III, Abbott's Hair Studio and Bangz and Tanglez Salon. Latoya traveled across the United States and the Caribbean from 1997 - 2004 as an educator and platform stylist for 3 major product companies. She has also held the position as senior stylist on photo shoots for an Atlanta modeling agency, and has also judged the Atlanta Hair battle competition for 2 years in a row.

Latoya has been featured in Metro Styles hair care magazine, natural hair care blogs, wrote an article on the benefits of transitioning back to natural hair, and the long term effects of chemicals to the hair and skin, and is featured in a published book for natural hair due for release in early 2014.

Latoya's love for education and product knowledge landed her in the current position as the first educator for BASIC Hair care, and Director of Education for BASIC HAIR CARE / BASiC Research Laboratories L.L.C. Latoya is dedicated to training professional stylist, sales representatives and distributors on the complete line of BASIC

products. Latoya is also trained by BASIC'S senior Chemist on raw materials, and ingredient combinations that produce the best in quality hair care products. As BASIC'S lead educator, Latoya teaches cosmetology students at INSO Hair School in Tucker, Ga twice a month on product knowledge and healthy hair care techniques to help prepare them as professional cosmetologist.

As a firm believer in education, Latoya's motto is "each one teaches one, the more you know the more you grow, and give and it shall be given to you". This continues to be Latoya's motivation to continued success.
