How do I become a model for Bonika Shears at a hair show?

We need hair cut models at most of the hair shows we exhibit at. If you find a show on the list of shows that you would like to attend and would like to get a fabulous new look with a hair cut, we would like to hear from you.

Models

  • Will not be compensated in any material way. We do not pay transportation, parking or any expense involved in getting to and from the hair show, although they will get FREE admittance to the show in order to model
  • Will get a haircut from Bonika Shears educator who will create a style based on your preferences, your face and body shape and current fashion. The haircut will be designed to showcase our shears and the educators cutting ability so you must be willing to have a totally new look which will involve having some length removed.
  • Can be male or female
  • Should email their photo, description of hair condition and wish to participate as a model to sales@bonika.com. This will be forwarded to our platform artist who will make the decision on whether you will be appropriate to the show.
  • Should dress conservatively sexy with attractive but comfortable shoes. Your physical attractiveness is important, but remember we are wanting to enhance your current look so we want overweight as well as underweight models. Healthy hair with length enough to cut is more important than your facial features or body shape.


    • Natural Hair Models are also needed for most shows. If you have African type, overly curly, non-relaxed hair to demonstrate our coil comb technique. You will need to sit for 2-3 hours while we demonstrate coils in your hair. The style you will get will generally cost around $100.00 in most salons and can be left in if you wish to have dred locs. Hair should be at least 1" long to be used as a model. Please email us as to which show you would like to be a model.
